Data Analyst at CRISIL.
Hey, this is Saurabh and I am writing this to tell about
my journey with Data Science and how it became smoother with Business Toys
I hail from a very small city called Satara, Maharashtra where my father is a teacher at Primary school and my mother is a homemaker. Like most of us, I took up engineering as well and passed out in 2019 from Sinhgad Institute, Pune with majors being Electronics and Communication.
I developed an underlying interest in Machine Learning by the end of my 2nd year but didn’t explore it enough back then. I was already occupied with my college studies. But after I completed engineering and was jobless. This disheartened me but it all went worse when covid shut the nation down and I could see how I was short of opportunities with limited skill set. This is when I started exploring and after lots of surveys and hours and days and weeks of web crawling, I made up my mind for Data Science.
So, when I spent a huge quantum of time surveying, I went through multiple articles and what really fascinated me was how different websites handled user data and stored them in different databases. Because of this, Data Science & Machine Learning were always scratching the curious part of my brain. I could think of nothing else and kept thinking, if at all I gave a little way to my interest in Machine Learning and explored deeper back in college, I would have had a job then.
I came across how Data Scientists would take over other professions in the coming years and why it is so important in any Business. The more I researched, the deeper I developed interest in the same.
Now was the time, I had to decide where and how to learn this. One afternoon, I was chatting with a friend and discussed how and where to start studying Data Science from. He introduced me to the Business toys and gave me all insights about the course, curriculum and all the information I needed. I saw multiple platforms and analyzed them all but at that point of time, I just needed someone close to give an affirmation on something I wanted to pursue. So, this was it. I was very much convinced about the course program at Business Toys and went ahead to register.
Since then, I’ve had a great learning experience at Business Toys. The course syllabus was quite interesting and the mentorship and their teaching techniques were even more interesting. I had lots of fun interacting one-on-one with the mentors. The mentors were always on toes with the 24/7 support promises. We got to learn hands-on through case studies, multiple projects, also we received soft skills training, and a lot more.
Having no prior knowledge in the field, I was really nervous in the beginning but Omkar Sir and Uttam Sir were very supportive and mentored me really well. They not only taught from scratch but also their techniques and delivery of lectures were unique and easy to understand. I am fond of Manikanta Sir and Vashist Sir, who were approachable for whatever problems I faced, irrespective of what time it used to be.I truly enjoyed taking classes at Business Toys while also getting to learn different concepts and the hacks used in the actual live projects from industry experts.
When we came to the verge of completion, Omkar helped me build my resume' and groomed me enough to face the interviews. The mentors helped me work on my communication skills and gradually helped me boost my confidence. I got placed at CRISIL as Data Analyst. I am excited to see what unfolds next in my career. Also,I would recommend anyone who wants to learn more about Data Science, Machine Learning or Deep Learning to have a look at Business Toy’s courses. I am sure you ll love the experience.
